Join us next month for Alertus’ customer-exclusive Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) Workshop, to be held virtually February 13-15. Our in-house expert will help you develop an up-to-date EOP, a foundational document outlining an organization’s all-hazards emergency management approach to emergency preparedness, response, and recovery operations for large-scale disasters. 

Whether you are looking to build or update an EOP for your organization, this expert-guided workshop is a unique opportunity for comprehensive training that will provide you with the information, content, and resources to build an effective plan framework based on FEMA’s Comprehensive Preparedness Guide (CPG) 101: Developing and Maintaining Emergency Operations Plans guidelines.

 
 

Day One: Monday, February 13, 2023
12:00-2:00pm EST

  • Understand the importance of EOP planning and how to leverage FEMA’s 6-step planning process to engage stakeholders to develop your plan. 

  • Explore the various EOP formats and how to identify which EOP structure works best for your organization. 

  • Understand your emergency management organization and the structure needed to manage the response to all-hazards emergencies.  

  • Receive dedicated time to begin crafting your EOP framework.


Day Two: Tuesday, February 14, 2023
12:00-2:00pm EST

  • Learn how to identify, categorize, and build hazard and threat profiles specific to your organization. 

  • Identify stakeholder groups with emergency roles and associated responsibilities and learn how to build an emergency responsibility matrix.

  • Receive dedicated time to continue crafting your EOP framework.


Day Three: Wednesday, February 15, 2023
12:00-2:00pm EST

  • Learn how to develop a structure and process to engage in emergency communications with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Learn how to develop an emergency training and exercise program. 

  • Receive dedicated time to review your EOP framework.


Workshop attendees will receive:

  • Six planning worksheets to guide stakeholder engagement necessary to develop these critical EOP planning elements.  

  • A Higher Education EOP template that can be modified for any industry or organization.    

  • Ample opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with industry experts from Alertus (with over 45 years of experience in emergency operations, response, and management).
