The Alert Beacon®

The Alert Beacon® is an innovative, in-building audible-visual emergency notification solution for campuses, military bases, and other large facilities. This wall-mounted, attention-grabbing, and affordable device can be used in place of a conventional public address (PA) system.

Emergency-proof Alerting

The Alert Beacon can be connected to an on-premise Alertus Server through one or multiple pathways, including ethernet (standard), WiFi, FM radio subcarrier, or RF paging.

Multiple connection options offer the best chance to ensure people receive critical alerts even when the internet is down or the power is out. Additionally, self-charging battery backup means the Alert Beacons are always ready when needed.

How do Alert Beacons Work?

Alertus’ Alert Beacon captures the attention of building occupants with bright, flashing strobes and clear-tone sounders, while a large, customized text display provides instructions on responding appropriately.

How do you activate an Alert Beacon?

Alert Beacons can be triggered manually from a single point of activation or automatically in response to sensor monitoring via contact closure.

Alertus offers various one-step activation solutions, including Panic Buttons, the Alertus Desktop Activator, the Rapid Response Console, and activation via the Alertus Activator App, Fire Alarm Control Panel Interface, or VoIP.

Alert Beacons are most effective when wall-mounted in high visibility areas, such as lobbies, front offices, classrooms, and near elevators and stairways. Strategically placed Alert Beacons have the power to stand in place of conventional PA systems and the flexibility to integrate with additional emergency alerting technology, offering unparalleled reach in your ability to notify everyone across your facility during an emergency.

The Alert Beacon is designed to integrate with LED signs, signaling devices, electronic door locks, and other external equipment. These extend functionality for any location requirement and help you create a unified mass notification system.
