Alertus Technologies partners with Texas Computer Education Association to award an Emergency Preparedness Grant to Moody ISD

Beltsville, MD – March 04, 2020 – Alertus Technologies, a leader in emergency mass notification solutions, announced today that they will partner with the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) to award an emergency preparedness grant valuing up to $75,000 to the Moody Independent School District in Moody, Texas.

The Alertus Emergency Preparedness Grants Program was created to help reduce barriers for non-profit organizations by providing free hardware and software solutions to enhance their emergency preparedness strategies. This program is an extension of the Alertus Desktop Donation program, which to date has provided over 700 non-profit organizations across the world with the Alertus Desktop Notification™ tool. 

As the grant recipient, Moody ISD will receive Alertus’ Mass Notification software and hardware to enhance their safety infrastructure. In addition, they will get three years of support in order to maximize the system’s capabilities.

"In an emergency, saving time with immediate emergency communications means saving lives, whether the threat is a natural disaster, environmental spill, or workplace violence,” said Moody ISD Technology Director Nancy Molina. “The Moody Independent School District community of 1,300 will benefit tremendously from the Alertus Emergency Preparedness Grant as it will provide the hardware and software required to enhance the District’s emergency preparedness by providing a critical mass notification piece."
