Alertus Technologies partners with Northeast Colleges and Universities Security Association to award an Emergency Preparedness Grant to Hamilton College

Beltsville, MD – January 16, 2020 – Alertus Technologies, a leader in emergency mass notification solutions, announced today that they will partner with the Northeast Colleges and Universities Security Association (NECUSA) to award an emergency preparedness grant valuing up to $75,000 to Hamilton College.

The Alertus Emergency Preparedness Grants Program was created to help reduce barriers for non-profit organizations by providing free hardware and software solutions to enhance their emergency preparedness strategies. This program is an extension of the Alertus Desktop Donation program, which to date has provided over 700 non-profit organizations across the world with the Alertus Desktop NotificationTM tool.

As the grant recipient, Hamilton College will receive Alertus’ Mass Notification software and hardware to enhance their safety infrastructure. In addition, they will get three years of support in order to maximize the system’s capabilities.

“Hamilton College is proud of its partnership with NECUSA and is honored to be selected by Alertus as the first recipient of this grant,” said Director of Campus Safety Francis Coots. “Our top priority is ensuring the safety of our community, so we are always looking for new ways to enhance the security of our students, employees, and visitors. We will use this grant to purchase and install additional safety equipment strategically throughout campus to provide a continuous source of reliable information in the event of an emergency, and we look forward to this new relationship with Alertus.”
